Emmedid have firsts. {2}

Miss Emme turned TWO months old yesterday.
I still cant believe my days have completely revolved around her for TWO whole months.
I guess it's like the saying,"If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life."
I love being her Mommy so rarely getting out of my pajamas and leaving the house is a-ok with me.

Here are some more of your firsts that took place during these TWO months, sweet Emme.
First night Mommy and Daddy went "out" and left you with Glamma.
You did wonderful and we were home by 10 pm! Ha.
First pool party at our house.
Auntie Alli came too!
You had fun with Auntie Holly and CJ.
Mommy made everyone leave at 10!
It wasn't her proudest moment, but life has changed now that we have you.
First girls night while Daddy was out of town.
 First wedding shower with Mommy.
 You with Mrs. Jarka-to-be.
First nap in your crib.
It wasn't ideal from the start...
But, it happened.
{Sorry about the darkness. Afterall, napping was the goal.}
You haven't napped in your crib since!
I am sure you would be completely fine... I just love holding you all day long!
 First work event with Daddy.
He loved showing you off!
 First dinner trip to Lopez.
Mommy has been eating there since she was a very little girl too.
Already at the bar at 7 weeks old!
You were pretty amused by the whole experience.
Uncle Michael was also in town and had his first Lopez dinner too.
Every single thing we do is so much more fun now that we have you!

Emmedid turn SIX weeks.

Six week photo shoot.
 Emmedid grow.
-You are getting more and more of a personality every day, sweet Emme.
-You are generally calm and cry free for most of the day. But, when you are hungry, you are HUNGRY and definitely let us know it.
-You hate spitting up more than anything. It makes you very angry.
-I am pretty positive you had a little growth spurt around 5 weeks because you were uncharacteristically fussy and hungry. A few days later you had outgrown all of your newborn onesies! Mommy was a little sad her itty bitty baby was no longer teeny tiny.
-You are becoming quite a smiley little lady.
-You are getting more alert, attentive, and really enjoying all the time you spend on your play mat.
{Don't listen to my loser-ish Mommy commentary. Thanks. }

-You have rolled from your tummy to your back a few times. I'm pretty sure is wasn't intentional because it was when you were fussing after being on your tummy too long.
-I take TONS of pictures of you each day. Here is the proof.
-I think you are pretty much the coolest chick ever! Need I say more?!

Emmedid turn ONE month.

Easter Day was also Emme Kate's ONE month birthday!
You may think I am lying...
But, I truly LOVED every single day of this month.
She is the most precious thing I have ever laid my eyes on.
One month photo shoot.
One month appointment.
9 lbs 9 oz and 21.75 inches long.
Second Hepatitis B shot.
Emmedid grow.
-Since you turned one month old just three days after being 4 weeks, not much has changed since this post.
-Our typical day looks something like this: Wake up and first feeding around 7:00 am, second feeding around 10:00 am, third feeding around 1:00 pm, fourth feeding around 4:00 pm, fifth feeding around 7:00 pm, bath around 9:30 pm {you still hate them!}, sixth feeding around 10:00 pm, bed around 11:00 pm, seventh feeding around 3:30 am, and you wake up around 7:00 am again.
-You fell into this schedule all by yourself. I really try to feed you consistently every 3 hours during the day, so we can have those 4-5 hour stretches at night.
-Mommy still does ALL the feedings. It's just easier and we have our own little night time routine. Plus Mommy is an obsessive freak about you choking on spit-up while you sleep. I make sure "it's all out" before I put you back in your bassinet.
-You are still wearing mostly newborn or 0-3 month clothes.
-You are wearing size 1 diapers.
-The day after you turned one month old, I swear you changed drastically over night!
You had your first smile session while Mommy talked to you about the school work she was doing on the computer.
And you began to "coo" all the time.
-I love your little feet so stinkin' much. When you are nursing they are constantly moving and I think it's just adorable! These shoes were supposed to be in your Easter basket, but they arrived a day late.
-I love learning all about YOU! I have figured out your different cry's, wimpers, and when you are going to spit-up.
-I secretly love breastfeeding you. I get to steal you away from whoever is holding you and have our special "alone time."
-Nothing else brings me more joy than being able to comfort you when you are crying. I know exactly how you love to be held, rocked, and cuddled.

We love you too the moon and back, little Emme.
Thanks for giving us the happiest month of our lives!

Emmedid celebrate her first Easter.

Emme's first Easter was super special, quiet, and spent close to home.
{We opted out of church due to the crowds, germs, and having an itty bitty occasionally fussy baby.}
Our little family went to a quick buffet brunch at our neighborhood country club.
I love her. Just a little bit.
There was the sweetest Easter Bunny making the rounds and Emme got to meet him for the first time.
Too cute for words!
Our little lady holding an Easter egg.
One gorgeous Glamma.
 Outdoor family picture session.
Emme's Easter goodies.
We were too rushed in the morning to open and enjoy everything, so we waited until after brunch.
Mommy reading Emme her first book.
Glamma gave her this Nobunny's Perfect book.
It is darling!
We wrapped up our day with a family dinner at Glamma and Papa's house.
We really did have a wonderful, laid back day.
I am sure next year we will be chasing around a little Easter egg hunter!
And I can't wait to teach little Emme all about the real reason behind our Easter celebration.
It was an EGG-tremely special day for another reason too!
That post is next.
