Katiedid celebrate 3 years.

October was a BUSY {but oh so fun!} month.
I am planning on slowing down a bit this week before all the holiday hoopla starts and spending our daily nap times blogging all the updates.

Here is short and sweet recap of our 3rd Anniversary on October 10th.

The day started off as usual around the Martin house ... Playing Mommy, repeatedly messing up then picking up my house, and staying in my pj's all day. The typical entertaining emoji filled conversations between Matt and I carried on as well. I am so thankful he loves me "as is."

We decided to forego our traditional Sorrento date from years 1 and 2 and have a "date night in" after we put little Emme to sleep. We wanted to have some family time before her and I headed out on a girls only trip the following afternoon.

I rocked our sweet girl to sleep...
While Matt picked up our sushi take-out AND surprise Sonic Oreo Blasts.
The love of my life.
Team MAK forever and ever.
The traditional anniversary pose and wedding shoe appearance.
We ended the night cuddling on the couch, drinking wine, and watching our wedding video. We were in tears by the end and after watching the drunken dance party that took place. It was truly the best party we have ever been to!
Every year just gets better and better!
I love you, Matty Mar.

Katiedid celebrate 2 years.

 In spite of a MM being out of town all last week and my weekend being full of taking care of people with "emergencies," we were able to squeeze in a wonderful anniversary dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.
{Anniversary #2 and Anniversary #1}

I definitely busted out the sparkly wedding shoes again!
And I will continue to do so on EVERY anniversary.
They still make me smile from ear to ear!

Boy, I have not changed much.
EXCEPT for my sweet baby bump!

Sorrento {owned by the father of a close friend} is turning out to be our special anniversary spot!
We have celebrated 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years there.
{They also have the most amazing Sunday brunch!}

We had the most precious conversations at dinner.
We giggled over the fact that last year we talked about where our lives would be at our second anniversary...
And how happy we are with it turning out to be NOTHING like we expected.
We have been so unexpectedly blessed and are graciously accepting all God has planned for us.

I am still amazed at how my heart continues to fall more and MORE in love with the incredibly handsome smiling face pictured above!
I thought I was totally smitten in high school.
Crazy in love in college.
Absolutely head-over-heals on our wedding day.
And after finding out we are expecting our first BABY and completely changing our entire "planned" life together...
I love him WAY to much for words!
My heart already skips beats {and tears are currently flowing!} just thinking about seeing him hold our child for the first time.

Enough of the mushy, mushy love stuff.
Have a blessed week!
We get to see our little blessing tomorrow during our 20 week Anatomy Scan.
Please send up a few prayers that all is still perfect.
{And that a few "parts" continue to stay hidden from Mom and Dad's view!}

Katiedid mark 2 years.

2 years ago today I married the one person God designed perfectly for me!

 I love how he loves me when no one else is watching...

How he makes me smile like no one else can...

And how beautiful my life is purely because I share every day with him!

Last weekend we had planned on taking a little 2 day get-a-way to celebrate 2 incredible years.
However, MM's grandmother died last week and we spent our weekend remembering her sweet life.
It is not exactly what we had planned...
But, I was incredibly honored just to be the wife that stood right by his side.
Marriage is not all smiles all the time.
And there is no other person I could imagine enduring all of life's up's and down's with.

This girl does not demand a large anniversary celebration, an expensive dinner, or a fancy gift.
The monotonous, everyday married life is what I cherish the most.
MM is actually out of town today for a work conference!
What wife lets her husband do that?!
One that knows each and every sacrifice we both make only makes our marriage stronger.
We will celebrate in our own special little way when he gets home later this week.

Speaking of homes...
{And about the exciting news mentioned here}
The Martin's are moving to a new HOME out in the burbs!

The seller process has had a few minor issues, but all is resolved now!
In November we will be just a short jog {literally!} away from great-grandparents, both sets of grandparents, 2 aunts, and 2 uncles.
Hello, family time!

This whole moving thing was a TOTAL surprise to me!
I had been planning how exactly we could cram a kid into our itty-bitty {but precious} inner city home.
MM found the house on a Thursday, showed it to me on a Friday, we made an appointment to look at it on Saturday, and made an offer on Sunday.
{I told you I am the luckiest wife ever!}
We are beyond excited for our little family's future.

Today is also my beautiful best friend's {and MOH #2} birthday!
This sweet thing graciously allowed us to get married on her 25th birthday.

I love you to pieces Alli!
{more about her here and here}

Hope today {10.10} is a "perfect 10" for you too!
